CRANES Vs FOX


The first Common Cranes to successfully breed in SW England in 400 years hatched 2 chicks in May 2014. They nested in front of the Martin Smith Hide. They were part of The Great Crane Project release programme. Having flown up from Somerset to reunite with the site that they had been raised in, by humans dressed in Crane suits. Previous to this, they had migrated as eggs from the Brandenburg District of Germany!
